Inhalation Sedation - Dental-specific ILS+PILS courses.

News coming soon

The new IACSD Guidelines of April 2015 require those using Inhalation Sedation specifically, to undertake annual training in ILS & PILS. The PILS component to be "age-appropriate".

The Resus Council offer ILS and PILS as 2 separate days and (so I have been told) must use these syllabuses as part of EU wide agreements across all medical personnel.

IACSD were clear that dental sedationists are not required to undertake this training under the Resus. Council's program.

In recent weeks I have been contacted by 2 independent Life Support trainers (via Linkedin) who are Resus Council Trainers but who have understood our needs and have tailored a one-day ILS/PILS course for dental teams involved in Inhalation Sedation.

I am awaiting confirmation of the first dates. One is based in Derby, the other in Oxford.

DECLARATION

I have no financial interest in either company.
My only interest is to help dental teams comply as easily as possible, as so continue to be able to offer Inhalation Sedation.

More news as soon as I have it.
